Intesa Sanpaolo launches the fourth and final call for Aerospace startups

Arrives the last Call of Up2Stars, the program of Understanding St. Paul dedicated to the enhancement of innovative startups operating in the Aerospace sector or in the technological sectors connected to it. The self-nominations can be submitted until 9 October and the 10 best startups will then be selected from among the applicants, which will thus participate in the acceleration program provided by Gellify and in the development networking with Elite (Euronext Group), Microsoft Italia, Cisco and Opening Future.

Barrese (Intesa): "Space Economy lever of the economy of the future"

"The aerospace industry represents one of the most promising levers for the development of the world economy in the coming decades and Italy, with a strong industrial supply chain, has a competitive position in international exports", he explains Stephen Barrese, head of the Intesa Sanpaolo Banca dei Territori Division, “with over 280 specialized companies and a complete supply chain between production and high value-added services and a 6,9% share of world exports in the sector”.

“To guarantee the development of this competitiveness we must support the research and planning of companies in this supply chain, and the fourth call of Up2Stars aims precisely at identifying, enhancing and supporting the top aerospace startups to make them dialogue with the entrepreneurial system", continued Barrese adding that at the same time, "it is essential to create an organic network made up of research, innovation and technology transfer towards SMEs, which favors a structural transition of our country towards new models, in close correlation with the PNRR. It is with this in mind that our Bank participated as a founding member in the establishment of four National Research Centers aimed at developing new technologies aimed at transition planet, green e digital”, concluded the head of the Intesa Sanpaolo Banca dei Territori Division
