Intesa Sanpaolo, the Mir Capital fund invests in Lima Corporate

The private equity fund participated by the Italian Bank and the Russian Gazprombank has acquired from Imi Investimenti a minority package of Lima Corporate Group, a Friuli-based company active in the production and distribution of orthopedic prostheses - To date, Lima's global business includes over 9 thousand product codes and 15 international subsidiaries.

Mir Capital has acquired from Imi Investimenti a minority stake in Lima Corporate Group, a Friulian company active in the production and distribution of orthopedic prostheses. The operation was decided as part of the partnership between the Russian Gazprombank and Intesa Sanpaolo, which together control the private equity fund. 

Mir Capital thus joins the main shareholder of Lima Corporate Group, Ardian (formerly Axa Private Equity), as well as IMI Investimenti. To date, Lima's global business includes over 9 product codes sold directly to customers in Italy and through 15 international subsidiaries. Lima has three production plants distributed between Italy and San Marino.

Mir Capital was established as part of the cooperation agreement signed by Gazprombank and Intesa Sanpaolo in the summer of 2012. The fund is able to invest up to 300 million euros and is mainly focused on investments in medium-sized private companies , but with significant growth potential, operating in the markets of Russia and Italy.
