Intesa Sanpaolo invests in bicycles. The bank led by Carlo Messina has disbursed a loan of 15 million euros for new projects sustainable growth of the historic Lombard company Bianchi, active in the production of bicycles and e-bikes. Bianchi was the team of the champion Fausto Coppi.

Of the 15 million, 5 million euros will be aimed at purchasing the area where the production center will be built in Treviglio, while the remaining 10 will contribute to the creation of a new production site characterized by cutting-edge production lines. The overall intervention is part of Intesa Sanpaolo's broader plan to support companies' investments in the environmental transition and the objectives linked to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr).

In particular, the 10 million euro loan is assisted by green guarantee of Sace and is part of the 1 billion euro funding granted by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti to facilitate credit to small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-caps.

"The new Bianchi headquarters will extend over an area of 30.000 m17.000, of which over XNUMX are intended for production, as part of a larger project for the renewal and enhancement of Made in Italy", underlined Fabrizio Scalzotto, CEO of Whites.

Tito Nocentini, Intesa Sanpaolo's Lombardy North regional director recalled that this intervention adds to the more than 700 million euros disbursed to date to Lombard SMEs which "aspire to improve their competitiveness on national and international markets" through the development and efficiency of technological processes, the reduction of environmental emissions and the valorisation of human capital".
