There are many Intesa Sanpaolo in the world. The "International subsidiary banks" division replicates the business and philosophy of the parent company in 12 countries between Central-Eastern Europe and Egypt as well as in China. Isbd, which today presented the 2022 data relating to its perimeter, collects a third of the customers of the entire group and contributes to its total net profits 14% through 11 commercial banks.
For example, Intesa Sanpaolo is the first bank in Serbia, the second in Croatia and Slovakia, the third in Slovenia.

The activities range from Investment Banking and Global Market and from the commercial offer, to support for ESG policies, support for SMEs, growth in Wealth Management & Protection and digital investments, as well as programs to support social and cultural issues .

Funding at 54,4 billion in 2022 and loans at 40,2 billion, Nps for 3,4%

Deposits from customers of the division have seen constant growth since 2019, the year in which Rottigni took office, going from 43,4 billion to 54,4 billion in 2022, with loans going from 34 to 40,2 billion, while the NPLs impact 3,4% (it was 4,1% in 2019) with an average growth in total assets of 7% per year.

In detail, the activity of the ISBD Division is developed in 12 Countries: Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Albania, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and Egypt) and the wealth management company Yi Tsai (Italian Talent) in China, where the Group also has a minority stake in Bank of Qingdao and Penghua Asset Management.
"In each of these countries we become players and we favor the growth of the economic fabric in which we find ourselves" said Rottigni who, with regard to the future, said that "we will be concentrated above all on making the activities and realities already present grow, rather than on think of new realities”. In particular "we will concentrate our funding in favor of the sustainable development of the agribusiness supply chains, a strategic sector in the territories served, of manufacturing, trade and transport".
Over the course of the 2022-2025 Business Plan, the ISBD Division also plans to further expand the Investment Banking and Global Markets activities
