La beauty has an important role as regenerative force, as experiences both in the human Sciences both in those scientific.
The occasion is the ninth edition of the Festival “My Place in the World”, scheduled for 19 and 20 November 2024 in Turin and Milan, at the Museum of Savings, with the participation of STEP FuturAbility District, the technological, informative and experiential space located in Milan in Piazza Adriano Olivetti 1.
Two days dedicated to secondary school students
The goal of the two days dedicated to secondary school students is to give life to a stimulating and productive dialogue between different disciplines, consolidating the experience of contamination between different genres and fields conceived by the Museum of Savings.
The boys will thus have the opportunity to discover how beauty can inspire, educate and create a future full of possibilities, through the testimonies of special guests such as Antonio Presti, patron, creator and president of the Antonio Presti Foundation; Giovanni Morale, Deputy Director of Gallerie d'Italia-Milan of Intesa Sanpaolo; Annalisa Banzi, PhD, Art Historian, consultant and researcher at CESPEB and Antonella Senese, Associate Professor of Physical Geography and Geomorphology and PhD in Natural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Milan.
The event lineup
On the morning of Tuesday, November 19, the meeting will be in Turin, at the Museo del Risparmio, the first museum in the world dedicated to financial education (via San Francesco d'Assisi 8/a), while on November 20, the meeting will be at the STEP FuturAbility District headquarters. Both meetings can also be followed online, after registering.
To make the two days even more interactive, two experiential laboratories, new to this edition: in the first, the classes, divided into groups, will work to imagine and design initiatives that use beauty to create opportunities in their community; in the second, they will discover the beauty of geometry thanks to dynamic and interactive tools and, through the use of apps, they will try their hand at creating a 3D object born from the combination of geometric solids.
