Intesa Sanpaolo: De Lucchi's installation at Ca' de Sass

Until 6 January, Intesa Sanpaolo lights up Largo De Sabata, in front of the Sanctuary of San Giuseppe, near the Bank's Milan headquarters, with an installation by the architect Michele De Lucchi 'Embracing Humanity', designed by AMDL CIRCLE.

The work was created as part of the 'Christmas of the trees' project of the Municipality of Milan and was inspired by Bernini's Colonnade and Italian gardens. Not one but many trees, which grow on a large colonnade, which light up at night, animating the city, made with the construction technique of wooden shingles, based on superimposing small wooden tablets on top of each other. The shingles take on a special meaning as if to represent the people who in this difficult year have carried the weakest and most fragile of our society on their shoulders. At the top, a tree, symbol of life. The installation is designed so that all materials can be reused at the end of the set-up.

Intesa Sanpaolo donates this highly symbolic installation to the Milanese to bring light to the Christmas festivities, and an extraordinary Christmas concert by the Cameristi of the Teatro alla Scala will be streamed on 16 December on the site group.internosanpaolo.com with music by Torelli, Vivaldi, Handel, Mozart and Corelli, with the direction of Giulio Prandi and with the voice of the soprano Marie Lys.
