Inter won only in the final by beating Genoa 1-0 at San Siro while Milan fell again away, losing badly at Marassi where Sampdoria punished them 2-0.
Inter played badly at San Siro against a good Genoa, who remained in 9 players due to a double disqualification, and a draw would have been fairer but they managed to win a dirty victory with a goal two minutes from time from D'Ambrosio which brought home the three points that allow Spalletti's team to remain in third place just two distances from Juve and Naples.
Even more disappointing was Montella's Milan who lost sharply in Marassi against an excellent Sampdoria who downsized and beat them 2-0 with goals in the second half from Zapata and Alvarez. It is the Rossoneri's second away defeat after the even more ruinous one in Rome against Lazio.
