Inter, avalanche of goals: scrambles Bologna and rises to the top

A feast of goals to forget Real, but above all to take the top of the standings, albeit momentarily. Inzaghi's Inter were looking for answers against Bologna and found them in series: to the problem of goals, given that they scored 6 yesterday, to the difficulty in unlocking matches, to the (short) abstinence from victory. The final 6-1 he perfectly photographs a match dominated far and wide, with an opponent who turned out to be little more than a sparring partner, in total contrast to what Mihajlovic promised on the eve. The victory ambitions of the rossoblu coach, in fact, immediately collided with reality, or rather with an Inter that was too strong, also because it was helped by a truly embarrassing defense from Bologna. Suffice it to say that the balance-breaking goal came after just 6' with Lautaro, well served by Dumfries, after which Sinisa's resistance literally collapsed.

In the 30th minute Skriniar doubled his lead with a header following a corner kick, in the 34th minute Barella scored the trio by taking advantage of another descent on the right by the Dutch winger. In short, the match ended in less than a time, so much so that the only negative note of the evening came from Correa, who went out with a blunt trauma to the pelvis. In his place, Inzaghi has introduced Dzeko, initially left to rest, and the Bosnian has repaid him with an author brace: five-a-side touch with the toe in the 63rd minute and Skorupski's right with a power spin on the post in the 68th minute. Before, however, there had also been glory for Vecino, on the net with an easy tap-in that was easy to undercut, not to mention the numerous opportunities that rained down from all sides, especially Lautaro's crossbar. Bologna? We saw it in the 86th minute with Theate's goal, but it was too bad to be true: until yesterday Mihajlovic's team had behaved quite well, which is why, despite totally rejecting the performance at San Siro, it deserves at least a trial of appeal.

All good for Inter instead, who find their smiles back after a bad week and can prepare with more confidence for Tuesday's away game in Florence, for what promises to be the best match of the midweek round. “I was very afraid of this match after the mockery against Real – commented Inzaghi -. There was concern, but the boys were good at tackling the race in the best possible way. With Real we made 18 shots and we didn't manage to score, here we did it at the first opportunity, sometimes football goes like this. Apart from the result, Bologna weren't an easy opponent because they were coming from a positive period: we have to congratulate Inter”. The Nerazzurri they therefore take the first place in the standings alone, even if with a big asterisk: today Milan, Naples and Rome, in case of victory, would come back in front of them.
