Inter, Rocchi saves Stramaccioni: with Parma it's 1-0

A success that builds morale and ranks. In these lean times, that's no small feat, and in fact Inter takes the three points without being too squeamish. Tommaso Rocchi decided the game against Parma, with his second goal for the Nerazzurri in the last three games. After 82 minutes spent wandering around waiting for the right opportunity, the former Lazio player received an inviting ball from Jonathan from the right and pocketed it behind Mirante. An acute in an afternoon of great suffering, made of confusion and long balls, but certainly not an exciting game. “Ours was a very important victory because we were in a great emergency – Stramaccioni defended himself. – The boys gave a great show of pride to the fans and the president. Before the match Moratti came to the locker room to charge us, Inter couldn't give more, the fans understood this and supported us”.

In reality, the San Siro crowd has expressed its dissent several times, albeit in a more than civil manner. Before the match, the Curva Nord displayed a rather eloquent banner, which indicated that Marco Branca (and the management in general) was Inter's problem. Then the fans took it out on Schelotto, author of a bad match, overwhelmed him with boos even when he left the field. The Argentine is the symbol of a wrong winter transfer market, in which, however, the Nerazzurri managed to sign a certain Kovacic, who was once again one of the best on the pitch yesterday.

After a first half spent getting by on the midfield, the Croatian took the team on his shoulders, building up the game and giving rise to various initiatives. Jonathan's good performance should also be underlined, as well as obviously Rocchi's goal and Handanovic's usual saves. The good news for Inter ends here. Unable to raise the pace (also because conditioned by the numerous absences), the Nerazzurri wasted a sensational goal with Schelotto on the 17th minute of the first half. Then Parma took the chair, which between the 28th and 30th minute built four chances, on which Valdes' crossbar to beaten Handanovic stands out. In the second half, Inter no longer risked anything, but on the other hand they built very little. But, after risking insult with Biabiany (stopped by the Slovenian goalkeeper in the 76th minute), she managed to win the match with Rocchi's paw. Not the best for aesthetes, but that's okay these days.

“The first half was very well played, we gave quality and continuity to the maneuver – admitted Stramaccioni. – They knew that in the second half we would pay for the Coppa Italia commitment. Parma introduced the dangerous Biabiany, but we held on well and thanks to Handanovic's saves we brought home the result". The success against Parma can do very little, however, against the distrust of the Nerazzurri environment. “Now I want the team to have a head on the matches that are missing, but for the future the club wants to build an important team, so there will certainly be the addition of new players – the manager sounded the charge. – The Inter fan must have no doubts that the president is building an important Inter to return to the places he deserves ”. Important words, from those who feel an integral part of the Nerazzurri world. The path to rebirth begins here.
