Inter takes Gargano, Milan dreams of Kakà. Cassano-Pazzini, almost official: here are the details

The official announcement will only arrive today, but the deal has practically been concluded since Monday evening. Antonio Cassano is a player from Inter, Giampaolo Pazzini from Milan. The Rossoneri will also disburse 7,5 million euros, payable over three years, a solution that will allow both clubs to avoid capital losses. Indeed, Milan will also record a capital gain on the Cassano front, paid 1,5 million in January 2011 and sold for 5 to his Nerazzurri cousins.

Both players underwent medicals for their respective new clubs yesterday. Pazzini showed up at the Busto Arsizio hospital around 9 to complete the first test session, then at 13.30 he went through the gates of Milanello, where he had the opportunity to speak with Massimiliano Allegri. The Pazzo's intense day continued with a trip to Como for the second and last part of medical visits, under the watchful eyes of Jean Pierre Meersseman, Milan's health coordinator. Antonio Cassano's schedule was decidedly less early, as he reached Milan (from Genoa) only in the afternoon, to then undergo medical-athletic tests in a clinic in Pavia.

The two players change clubs but not the terms of the contracts: Pazzini will keep his three-year contract (expiring 2015) worth 2,7 million per season, Cassano will do the same with his two-year contract (2014) worth 3 million (plus some bonuses related to assists and penalties awarded). Several illustrious declarations on the double deal, starting right from the Madman, one of those directly involved: "I learned everything yesterday (Monday for the reader, ed) and I'm really very happy". On the Inter front, after Massimo Moratti's laconic comment (“If I like Cassano? Tell me, who doesn't like him?!”), Captain Zanetti's comment arrived: “We're talking about a great champion, he will above all inspire us. We know him well and we know his class, we hope to be able to fight together for great goals. Here he will find a group that will help him and welcome him in a big way ”. Everything has also been decided as regards the shirt numbers: Pazzini will have number 11, Cassano will keep the 99 already worn in the Rossoneri.

But the Rossoneri market doesn't end there. In fact, Inter is very close to Walter Gargano, which should be the reinforcement for the midfield. With Napoli the agreement is practically done: onerous loan (1,5 million) with the right to buy (5 million). The deal confirms the excellent relations existing between the two clubs, always ready to find solutions even to the most complicated negotiations. Stalemate regarding Alvaro Pereyra: the offer to Porto is 10,5 million plus bonuses, for a total of 12, the Portuguese are asking for 15. The feeling is that with a further effort (13) the operation will will close.

More wait-and-see instead Milan, who are waiting for the last days of the market to take advantage of the so-called super sales. Galliani has not yet lost hope of reaching Ricardo Kakà, which will soon be even more closed in Real Madrid (Modric is on the way). The Rossoneri CEO knows that the loan option is not feasible, but a good price could come up (15 million?) to be paid in installments. All firm regarding the transfer of Mesbah to Palermo. The deal seemed practically closed, but Zamparini asked for a few more hours, because before buying he would like to sell someone. Attitude that annoyed Milan, who could now also decide to blow up the deal.
