Inter-Naples, last hopes for the Champions League and Scudetto

Tonight at San Siro, Mancini and Sarri's teams are playing for their remaining chances of conquering the Champions League zone (Inter) and pursuing the Scudetto dream (Naples), even if everything will depend above all on Juve and Roma – Reduced suspension for Higuain who today he will be replaced by Gabbiadini but he will return against Roma – Mancini: "Napoli are an excellent team even without Higuain"

Inter-Naples, last hopes for the Champions League and Scudetto

Last call in San Siro. Inter and Napoli (at 20.45) are playing out the remaining hopes of the Champions League and the Scudetto, despite knowing that the achievement of their respective objectives will depend above all on Juventus and Roma, who are currently firmly in control of their own destiny. However, it is clear that tonight's match can't go wrong and this applies to both the Azzurri and the Nerazzurri: that's why talking about the "final" is absolutely not excessive.

“There aren't many possibilities for third place but with 18 points available we have a duty to try – admitted Roberto Mancini in the press conference. – We mustn't think about the others but only about our matches, there are 6 left and they will all be difficult". No comment instead from Naples, where Sarri's silence continued as expected. The idea was to not expose himself in view of Higuain's appeal and the mission can be said to be successful: the Football Federation's Court of Appeal reduced Pipita's disqualification matches to 3, thus guaranteeing his presence in the super challenge with Roma next 25 April. A few smiles after so many long faces would be legitimate, were it not for the fact that the Argentine won't be there tonight and that the away game at San Siro will go unhinged without him. “Napoli are an excellent team anyway – explained Mancini. – It is clear that Higuain can make the difference but Gabbiadini will play instead of him, certainly not the latest arrival. I hope we can see a good match, two great teams who usually play head to head will meet." There are also many expectations regarding the duel on the benches: the last time, in fact, the Sarri-Mancini clash went down in history for the well-known (and not very edifying) insults flown on the sidelines. "I'll shake his hand, the episode is over and done with" glossed over the Nerazzurri coach, more interested in the technical aspects of the match.

Inter, as always this season, will face it putting themselves on the mirror with the opponent, in an attempt to cancel the technical gap by winning the individual duels. Mancini will therefore opt for a 4-3-3 with Handanovic in goal, D'Ambrosio, Miranda, Murillo and Nagatomo in defense, Brozovic, Medel and Kondogbia in midfield, Palacio (favorite over Eder), Icardi and Perisic in attack.

The alternative could be the 4-2-3-1 already seen in recent weeks: in that case Ljajic and Biabiany would compete for a shirt at Kondogbia's expense, but at the moment the most concrete hypothesis is represented by the first option. No doubts instead for Maurizio Sarri, immovable with his ordinance 4-3-3 (Higuain aside, of course): Reina in goal, Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly and Ghoulam in defense, Allan, Jorginho and Hamsik in midfield, Callejon, Gabbiadini and Insigne in attack. At the time of writing, San Siro is not sold out yet but it still heralds an important presence (about 60 spectators), testifying to the delicacy of the match in question. In short, a final call, to which one between Inter and Napoli will have to respond presently.
