Inter-Napoli and Juve-Atalanta, clashes at the top and keep an eye on Milan

Heart-pounding Wednesday for the Serie with two big matches: the one at San Siro, where Conte faces his friend Gattuso's Napoli, and the one at Turin, where Juve receives Atalanta (but Dybala and Gomez won't be there) – Il Milan goes to Marassi, where Genoa awaits them – The Inzaghi derby ends 1-1

Inter-Napoli and Juve-Atalanta, clashes at the top and keep an eye on Milan

All against all. The twelfth matchday, thanks to the midweek round, will see the greats of the championship on the field on the same day, with the exception of Lazio, stopped yesterday on the draw in the anticipation of Benevento (1-1, goals from Immobile and Schiattarella) and for Roma , on stage tomorrow night against Turin. For the rest, however, all together passionately: the leaders Milan, expected since Genoa by Maran (20.45 pm), the pursuers Inter-Napoli (super head to head at the same time) e Juventus, the first to take the field against theAtalanta (18.30 pm).

A real heart-pounding Wednesday, which will have San Siro as its natural epicenter: the match between Conte's Nerazzurri and Gattuso's Azzurri is undoubtedly the most fascinating of the day. Opposite will be the second in the standings, fresh from four consecutive victories in the league, but also from the bad European elimination, against the third, in turn winning from three games (with qualification for the Europa League).

"It will be a demanding race with a team that has the same ambitions as us, it must give us a stimulus and a parameter on which to make our assessments - he explained Tale – When I hear talk of the Scudetto obligation, however, it makes me smile: there are many who have this ambition, but in the end only one wins and in the last nine years it has always been the same...".

However, the burden of elimination from the Champions League weighs heavily and Cagliari's victory alone is obviously not enough to make it less heavy: at least a sprint is needed, starting this evening. In front, however, there will be Napoli, not exactly the sacrificial victim par excellence. The Azzurri absolutely want to continue their race, aware that a success in Milan would definitively nominate them for the Scudetto race.

In short, this San Siro has all the air of being a rather important junction, after which various things will be understood. Conte has to do without Vidal and Sanchez, but recovers Hakimi, again skilled and enlisted: his 3-5-2 will see Handanovic in goal, Skriniar, De Vrij and Bastoni in defense, Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Gagliardini and Young in midfield, Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez in attack. Gattuso on the other hand, thanks to Osimhen's prolonged absence, seems oriented to return to 4-3-3 with Ospina between the posts, Di Lorenzo, Manolas, Koulibaly and Mario Rui in the back department, Bakayoko, Demme and Zielinski in the midfield, Lozano, Mertens and Insigne in the offensive trident.

At the same time as the challenge at San Siro, the one at Marassi will be staged, where the Milan di Pioli will try to win again after the misstep against Parma. A 2-2 which, while leaving positive sensations in the light of the comeback, narrowed the advantage over the pursuers a bit, making today's match even more delicate. Furthermore, the Rossoneri are grappling with various absences, a bit in all departments: from the defense (Kjaer has not yet recovered, Gabbia will be out for at least a month) to the midfield (Bennacer will only meet again in mid-January), up to the attack (Ibrahimovic should return on Sunday against Sassuolo).

In short, Pioli will have to get by with those who are there, therefore 4-2-3-1 with Donnarumma in goal, Calabria, Kalulu, Romagnoli and Hernandez in defense, Kessié and Tonali in midfield, Castillejo (Saelemaekers is not doing well and will start from the bench ), Calhanoglu and Leao behind Rebic. Maran, despite the defeat, will not change the 4-4-2 already seen on Sunday against Juve, therefore Perin between the posts, Goldaniga, Bani, Masiello and Pellegrini in the back department, Ghiglione, Radovanovic, Rovella and Sturaro in the midfield, Scamacca and Shoumurodov in attack.

The match in Turin was also very interesting, with Juventus and Atalanta to inaugurate the championship Wednesday. The bianconeri want to win at all costs, to then take advantage of the direct clash between Inter and Napoli, but the Bergamo players also appeared to be recovering, despite a climate that was anything but serene.

"It will be a tough match to play, also for what their attitude is, we will have to face it as a top team - the thought of Pirlo – Continuity must be sought above all in the attitude and concentration in facing all matches in the same way, both in the Champions League and in the league: when you have the right mind and the spirit of wanting to play the match, then the results are on your side ”.

On the Atalanta front, however, the Gomez case continues to hold the ground, now at the definitive break with Gasperini. The Argentine will once again start from the bench today, demonstrating a completely wrecked relationship, as confirmed by the Nerazzurri coach himself. “Talk about it as much as you like, nothing changes from me – explained the gasp in the press conference – I have to think about the team and the best possible module, everything else doesn't interest me, I think enough has already been said".

Compared to Genoa, Pirlo will change some men, but not the game system, now permanently the 3-4-1-2: Szczesny will still be in goal, with De Ligt, Bonucci and Danilo in defense, Cuadrado, Arthur, McKennie and Alex Sandro in midfield, Ramsey in the frontline, Morata and Ronaldo in attack. An orderly 3-4-2-1 also for Gasperini, who will respond with Gollini between the posts, Toloi, Romero and Palomino in the back, Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler and Gosens in the midfield, Pessina and Malinovskyi behind the only Zapata tip.
