Inter: Moratti and Thohir are covering each other's backs

A broad discharge of liability for the operations carried out in the years of their work to which is added an insurance policy, with a duration of five years from the last change of control of the company, to cover possible claims for compensation brought forward for damages deriving "from liability civil liability against third parties for illicit non-malicious acts'.

This was noted by Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor Plus which speaks of "almost total protection" in reference to the protections guaranteed to the outgoing directors of Inter, expression of International Sport Capital (Erick Thohir) and Massimo Moratti's Internazionale Holding, for work carried out during their mandate, which ended a few weeks ago with the arrival of the Chinese Suning in Milan.

The provision (technically called "indemnity"), on the basis of which it will not be possible to exercise liability actions against the directors, was approved on 28 June on the proposal of Thohir himself by the ordinary meeting of Inter, which at that time it was still 70% controlled by Thohir and 30% by Moratti.

Among the "old" directors who benefit from the decision, Il Sole 24 Ore recalls, include "the president Thohir, the CEO James Bolingbroke, Alberto Manzonetto of Four Partners, the banker Gerardo Braggiotti and the lawyer Roberto Casati: they had all resigned precisely on June 28 following the change of control of the company".

The discharge of liability and the indemnity will concern all the most important acts of Thohir management, from the maxi loan of 230 million stipulated with Unicredit in 2014; to any operation related to the company's balance sheets and budgets starting from 1 July 2014, passing through the five main transfer market signings of the last two years: Kondogbia, Brozovic, Miranda, Jovetic and Eder.
