Inter-Milan, the derby that will decide the Scudetto

THE PROBABLE LINE-UPS – Allegri: “Whoever tops the standings at 23pm on Sunday will have the Scudetto in his pocket” – Stramaccioni: “Milan need to win, but we want to do it too” – The Rossoneri are giving up Thiago Silva again – Captain Zanetti is back among the Nerazzuri

Inter-Milan, the derby that will decide the Scudetto

This time it matters more. The Milan derby number 277 (the 178th in the league) would already be important in itself, but playing at penultimate day becomes even decisive. First for Milan, who are playing for a Scudetto and that beyond the result of Trieste it cannot be separated from the victory, but also for Inter, who certainly don't want to act as a "catwalk" for their hated cousins. Of course, the standings say that the Rossoneri have much more to lose, but the Nerazzurri want to end the season in the best possible way, and then maybe take advantage of a misstep by Napoli, Udinese and Lazio. A derby to be experienced will be staged at San Siro, with an eye (or perhaps it would be better to say an ear) to Trieste's Nereo Rocco, but with the heart there on the lawn. Because there is much more at stake than city supremacy.

HERE INTER

“Better a favor to Juve or Milan? The is isss…”. He was joking Andrea Stramaccioni yesterday at the press conference, so much so that (he, a true Roman) even allowed himself to speak in the Milanese dialect, but underneath there is tension, a lot of tension. The former Nerazzurri coach suddenly became great and is now preparing to play a derby that could be worth a lot for him in the future: "I think I will be judged on what my job has been and will be, this is a of the races that will allow you to give an extra judgment on the coach. Of course it's not a race like the others, everything counts double. From one to ten, my desire to stay at Inter is eleven." Stramaccioni didn't hide behind cliches, because a derby is worth more: “Obviously it's a different match, given the importance of the stakes, it's a match to be experienced and we can't wait to get on the pitch. Milan need to win, but we want to do it too. The game will be exciting precisely because it will escape any calculation. I'm sure there's no 22 point difference between our headcount and theirs. In my management, both teams scored 14 points."

In line with the cheeky and self-confident character, Strama then gave away other interludes, in particular one starring Massimo Moratti. When asked about the formation, the Nerazzurri coach pulled out a sheet which, according to him, contained the presidential eleven. "It's a big sheet, because he even wrote me the changes – joked Stramaccioni in the general hilarity – no, apart from the jokes, I decide the formation". In short, the coach has once again demonstrated that he has character and personality to spare. Now the ball will pass to the field, where we will see an Inter lined up with a 4-3-1-2, a system never tried in the Strama era but quite familiar to the players.

Parma's defense confirmed as a whole, in midfield captain Zanetti will return from the first minute, who should play in a 3-man line with Cambiasso and Guarin. The trocar will obviously be manned by Sneijder, who will move behind the tango duo Zarate-Milito.

HERE MILAN

“Whoever is at the top of the standings at 23pm will have won the Scudetto”. He didn't use half measures Massimiliano Allegri to present today's championship day, which he says is absolutely decisive.

“It will be the most important night of the season, 99% of the games are over now”. There was tension at Milanello, much more than at Appiano Gentile, at least judging by the coaches' press conferences. On the other hand, the standings say that Milan are undoubtedly playing the most, even if Allegri expects a very motivated Inter: "Derbies are always special matches, we will have to do very well because we have only one result, we must try to win . Inter will have motivations because they have two objectives: that of the derby and that of staying in the running for the Champions League, but we must have the most important motivation." As anticipated yesterday, the reigning Italian champions will once again have to do without Thiago Silva, who, Allegri dixit, "is fine but doesn't feel serene".

The Rossoneri coach has various problems in defence: in addition to the Brazilian, Antonini is not there either, so one between Bonera (favourite) and De Sciglio will be adapted on the left. Things are much better in the offensive department, where apart from Pato everyone is available: “Actually, everyone is fine. Robinho is back to scoring, Cassano, El Shaarawy and Maxi Lopez are in good condition”. Ibrahimovic hasn't even been talked about, as his presence on the pitch is obvious. Despite the reasons given by the derby, it won't be easy for Milan not to let themselves be influenced by the game in Trieste

, which will see Juve engaged against Cagliari, Allegri's former team: “I haven't called any players, they only play for themselves. They have pride, I know them well, they made me spend two wonderful years. I don't know if they will think of me, but knowing them I know they will give their all. We have only one result, but woe to being nervous and tense: we will have to be serene and make our technical strength count; Right now, only Juventus has to lose."
