Inter and Roma rise again, Milan ko

Inter conquers the first victory of the De Boer era in Pescara 3) with an assist for Dzeko and a penalty in the 2st minute – Milan mocked in the Cesarini area by Udinese: 91-0

THEInter is unlocked, Milan sees the ghosts of all time. Sunday with two faces that of the Milanese, as always in this championship. Today it is the Nerazzurri who are smiling, if only because winning in Pescara was of fundamental importance and this regardless of the game, the Rossoneri instead return to offering their worst face and lick their wounds after the defeat against Udinese.

Once again, Mauro Icardi was decisive: the captain, protagonist in the summer of a push and pull with the club that had disliked him from part of the fans, took back Inter in a very heavy night, perhaps decisive for the continuation of the season . Had it not been for him (besides the usually great Handanovic) we would be talking about an endless crisis, a bewildered De Boer, a team already too far from the top positions.

But in football, as we know, goals count and Icardi knows how to do them very well. And so, just when Inter saw the witches, he rose to the chair with a brace as a great striker, giving De Boer 3 platinum points. Pescara had taken the lead in the 63rd minute with Bahebeck and seemed able to take home the whole stake, but then Maurito's first strike came, very good at converting an assist from Banega into a goal (77').

And then, after several occasions on both sides (above all Verre and Palacio), here is the final comment with a shot from an area bird, a true trademark of his repertoire (91'). “We conceded too much but this time I saw my will to win – explained De Boer. – I believe that in the end our success is legitimate, we managed to create a lot and take advantage of Pescara's mistakes. Handanovic and Icardi were extraordinary, I'm very happy with their performance."

The mood at home is decidedly different Milan, where after the pre-stop praise came a rude awakening. In fact, at San Siro it was Udinese who took the 3 points, at the end of a mangy match without any particular flashes. Much more was expected from the Rossoneri, if only because in the previous matches we had seen positive things in the goal area. Instead the vein, thanks to Niang's absence, ran out quickly and Udinese, very shrewd in the defensive phase, was able to exploit a final ingenuity (and a decisive deviation) to win the match.

The only goal on the scoresheet bears the signature of Perica (88' with an unfortunate touch by Abate) and Montella, despite himself, is forced to deal with the first home defeat of the season, the second ever counting also that of Naples. “We are not happy with the result, we conceded a mock goal a few minutes from the end – thought the Rossoneri coach. – In these games you need a flash, an episode, a pinch of luck: we, on the other hand, have never managed to find the change of pace and we have adapted to the pace imposed by Udinese. It's a pity we didn't unlock the race sooner, but we'll work our best to improve this aspect as well".

Vincenzo Montella will have to do it quickly, because an iron cycle begins now: Sampdoria, Lazio, Fiorentina and Sassuolo are already ready to take advantage of any Rossoneri slippage. De Boer will also have to deal with a super match: next Sunday, at San Siro, the Juventus of Higuain, Dybala, Pjanic etc. will arrive. But Pescara's 3 points, if nothing else, will allow him to experience a slightly more serene vigil.

Together with Inter, the club also rises again Roma, who overtook Sampdoria after the downpour that stopped the match for over an hour. Merit of the timeless Totti, who converted the decisive penalty in the 91st minute and who had previously served Dzeko with the equalizer after Muriel (masterpiece goal) and Quagliarella had given the Ligurians the lead by recovering Salah's initial goal.
