Inter against Parma without Lukaku and with an eye on Real

Conte also loses Lukaku but against Parma he cannot lose points in view of the big Champions League match against Real – Atalanta's trip to Crotone is also not easy.

Inter against Parma without Lukaku and with an eye on Real

Grit your teeth and move up the leaderboard. The sixth day begins in the name of difficulties for many teams, starting with Inter, engaged in San Siro against Parma (18 pm). The pitfalls, rather than from the ducals (in any case capable of snatching a draw last season), come frominfirmary, full again after the recent Covid cases. This time however, apart from Skriniar, the virus has nothing to do with it: in fact, the trouble comes from the muscles, in particular from those of the attackers. In addition to the usual Sensi and the fragile Sanchez, Lukaku also stopped on Thursday and this is a big problem: just think that the Belgian, after Handanovic, had been the Nerazzurri player with the most minutes in his legs.

Conte evidently would never give it up, but this time he will have to do it, moreover at a very delicate moment of the season, for the championship and, above all, for the Champions League. Big Rom will certainly miss today's game and, barring miracles, also that of Tuesday against Real Madrid, which is why the coach, also without Sanchez, will have the attack reduced to the bone. The opportunity is tempting to invent something new, like a game system that doesn't necessarily include two forwards, relaunching those who have done less like Eriksen and Perisic, but Inter certainly can't afford missteps, worth getting close at the match in Madrid in a fuss of controversy.

“I'm sorry for the absences, but we need to proceed calmly to avoid bigger problems – sighed Conte -. In any case we have to do well regardless of the absentees, and in any case I have full faith in my players, Perisic and Pinamonti are important solutions for the attack”. In short, no experiment, at least not from the beginning. The Nerazzurri coach will go his own way, trying to save some energy in view of Tuesday, when most of the European future will be played against his friend Zidane. However, the match against Parma must be won, which is why the formation must in any case be concentrated and competitive, otherwise there is the risk of tripping and making a bad impression.

The Nerazzurri 3-4-1-2 will see Handanovic in goal, De Vrij, Ranocchia and Kolarov in defence, Hakimi, Gagliardini, Barella and Darmian in midfield, Eriksen in the frontline, Perisic and Lautaro Martinez in attack. Several training problems also for Liverani (there are still seven positives for Covid), who will respond with a 4-3-1-2 with Sepe between the posts, Iacoponi, Gagliolo, Osorio and Pezzella in the back department, Grassi, Cyprien and Kurtic in the midfield, Kucka in support of the offensive duo made up of Cornelius and Gervinho. The championship-Champions alternation is not easy for Inter, but it is proving to be even more complicated for Atalanta, capable of offering great performances in the European arena and rapidly falling within national borders.

In Crotone (15 pm), however, Gasperini wants to reverse the trend and return to scoring points, otherwise next year the cups could be just a memory. However, the coach, who canceled the press conference yesterday due to a positivity within his staff, will have to keep an eye on Liverpool, next opponent in the Champions League, will therefore continue on the turnover line, hoping that this time, unlike what happened with Naples and Sampdoria, things will go better. At Scida we will see Atalanta lined up with the usual 3-4-2-1 with Sportiello in goal, Sutalo, Romero and Palomino in defence, Hateboer, Pasalic, Pessina and Mojica in midfield, Malinovskyi and Gomez behind lone striker Muriel.

Stroppa, bottom of the championship with only one point together with Torino (but with one game more), will attempt the second feat of the season after the one against Juventus with a 3-5-2 made up of Cordaz in goal, Magallan, Marrone and Luperto in the back, Pereira, Petriccione, Benali, Vulic and Reca in the midfield, Messias and Simy in attack.
