Inter, Atalanta and Lazio all win: it's already a challenge to Juve

Crazy Inter strikes again. The Nerazzurri take home 3 points at the end of a game bordering on the absurd, which not even the pyrotechnic 4-3 final can fully explain. The challenge of San Siro, in fact, has experienced various phases within it, in which Inter and Fiorentina have exchanged the role of victim and perpetrator over and over again. In the end, as often happens in such cases, it was the changes that made the difference, in addition to the episodes, with Conte capable of getting the better of Iachini. Of course, this could also mean that the initial choices, if not wrong, were at least questionable, but the result, as we know, always has the last word and therefore Inter are right to celebrate, albeit with reservations.

The many defensive errors, in fact, will have to be reduced to the heading "distractions at the beginning of the season", otherwise it will be difficult to compete for the title. It suffices to look at what happened in the 3rd minute on the occasion of Kouamé's goal (he and Bonaventura, forgotten by the Inter defence, free to pass the ball two meters from Handanovic) to explain the Nerazzurri's difficulties, especially as from then on he teacher's desk an even sumptuous Ribery. In the meantime, Inter had already turned the match between the end of the first half (45'+2' Lautaro) and the beginning of the second (52' own goal by Ceccherini after a shot by Martinez himself), but the French , who got a standing ovation from Milan's San Siro more or less a year ago, has decided to take the chair and once again delight the football ladder.

First he sent Castrovilli on goal for the 2-2 (57'), then he did the same with Chiesa for overtaking (63'), finally he repeated himself with Vlahovic in the 81st minute, this time however without finding the right collaboration (the Croatian shot badly to the side). StIt would have been 4-2, or rather the exclamation point on the purple triumph, instead it turned out to be the sliding doors of the match: at that moment Conte, who had inserted the heavy artillery (inside Vidal, Nainggolan, Hakimi, Sensi and Sanchez) got the better of Iachini, guilty of having removed His Majesty from the field Ribery, but also Chiesa, Kouamé and Bonaventura. And so the match, hitherto in the hands of Fiorentina (even if Dragowski had saved the result several times), was completely reversed, with Inter capable of finding an equalizer with Lukaku (87') before even taking the lead with D'Ambrosio (89'): in both cases decisive Sanchez, mastermind of the actions in question, who took over the place of a spent Perisic shortly before.

“The three points are important but then you have to make the right assessments – Conte's analysis -. We scored 4 goals and created many other chances, we brought many men forward and created difficulties for Fiorentina and this is positive, however we weren't careful and good at preparing ourselves for their counter-attacks: we have to attack with a certain number of men but defend ourselves with just as many, we were deranged and paid for it. However I was proud of the character shown by the boys, now we need to continue like this and give our fans more joy". Simone Inzaghi and Gasperini must have thought the same, whose teams continue to impress year after year. Lazio conquered Cagliari with a performance of great character, showing quality and athletic freshness: in short, everything that was missing after the lockdown, when the busy schedule had proved to be an insurmountable opponent.

The problem could arise again after the break with the start of the Champions League, but in the meantime the Biancocelesti have started putting hay in the farmhouse with a nice 2-0 in Sardinia, signed by Lazzari (4') and the usual Immobile (74' ). Excellent start also for Gasperini's Atalanta, who staged their usual great show on the Turin pitch, with a 4-2 final that it even stands tight in light of the very numerous opportunities created. And to think that the match was immediately colored with a grenade with Belotti's goal (11'), but then Gomez took the chair, first with the equalizer (13'), then with assists for Muriel (21') and Hateboer (42'). A lot of offensive play and some inevitable snagging behind it: thus came the second leg of Gallo Belotti (43 ') to reopen the game, at least in theory. Because in practice the second half saw only one team on the pitch, with De Roon finding the 4-2 and Giampaolo's Toro (second defeat in as many games) resigning themselves to defeat.

A Saturday full of goals (20 also counting Benevento's 3-2 at Sampdoria) and entertainment, the perfect appetizer for a Sunday that promises to be just as fun, hard-fought and, above all, totally unpredictable.
