Inter to the Chinese, negotiations for the sale of 15% continue: it will close by Christmas

Negotiations continue for the sale of 15% of Inter to the Chinese but, in all likelihood, the closing will postpone beyond the annual meeting of the Nerazzurri club, scheduled for next Monday. On that occasion, in fact, it was envisaged to appoint the new board of directors with three new representatives of the Chinese, whose names remain confidential, but, according to Radiocor, in recent weeks the bureaucratic delays required by Beijing regulations for cross-border investments have lengthened the time for the definitive signing of the preliminary contracts last August.

Nonetheless, there is still great confidence between the parties to carry out the closing by Christmas as a large part of the transaction has now been completed. The latter, as is known, will see the pool of Chinese investors take over the share of Inter from the patron Massimo Moratti for a figure of around 55 million. Meanwhile, the other part of the agreement with Beijing and in particular with the state-owned company China Railway Construction for the construction of the new stadium owned by the club is also proceeding: in fact, at the beginning of 2013, an initial short list of areas for the project.
