Inter, 5 goals in Cagliari and overtaking Milan

With five goals and a decidedly brilliant performance Inter redeems itself and conquers Cagliari (1 to 5) again overtaking Milan in the standings and keeping alive the dream of landing in the Champions League if Rome or Naples suffer other debacles.

In Sardinia, Inter's match immediately went downhill as they hit the Cagliari goal twice with a wild Perisic to which Borriello replied by halving the distances. But then Inter took the lead again with goals from the excellent Banega, Captain Icardi (from a penalty) and, in the end, from new signing Gagliardini, his first goal for the Nerazzurri.

Inter are back refreshed by the away match in Sardinia but, as coach Pioli says, those who chase can never give up. And in the next round Inter will have to be very careful because the fierce Atalanta of the former Gasperini arrives at San Siro, with his tooth always poisoned.
