Artificial intelligence: 4 million from the San Paolo Foundation and Cdp

Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation and Cassa Depositi Foundation team up and launch the call for Artificial Intelligence, making four million euros available for innovative and sustainable research projects in four key sectors: health and well-being; environment and green transition; risk protection and insurance; education and training.

The four project proposals that will be selected - one for each individual area - will receive a contribution from 1 million euros each and they will have to set themselves the goal of bringing significant benefits to the community in economic and social terms, responding to the needs of the territories, experimenting with innovative solutions and promoting collaboration between universities, research institutions, businesses and the third sector.

The projects may be presented in partnership by at least seven subjects: a project leader (one of the Universities affiliated with the Compagnia di San Paolo - University and Polytechnic of Turin, University of Eastern Piedmont, University of Genoa and Federico II University of Naples ), an assessment body, two research and development partners, at least two local partners (bodies and companies based in Italy) and a Node Manager (person with managerial, economic and financial skills identified by the Compagnia di San Paolo and by CDP Foundation).

Interest in participating must be expressed by March 15th 2022, while the application for admission must be submitted by 31 May 2022. The full text of the announcement can be consulted on the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation website and on the CDP Foundation website.
