The event was held at the Magazzini del Cotone in Genoa 2025 Convention of Alleanza Assicurazioni, entitled “Grande Alleanza – Squadra Grande thinks big”. An event attended by 7 thousand people, in person and online, during which the CEO David Sparrow illustrated the company's progress and strategic lines for the future based on three cornerstones: growth in customer satisfaction; leadership in protection, savings, investments and pensions; valuable advice powered by AI and technology.
The pact for sustainable growth
During the convention, a review was made of the ten-year journey started with the "Pact for sustainable growth”, certified by a quadrupled customer satisfaction index: the NPS (Net Promoter Score) has in fact gone from 7 points in 2014 to the current 28. In the meantime, Alleanza has climbed the rankings of Life companies in Italy, moving from ninth to fourth place today, and has also made progress in the sector Damages, thanks above all to the Health business (Accident and Illness) which saw the Company move to 11th position from 41st in 2014.
“Results that demonstrate the increasingly social role of insurance, as CEO Passero recalled, insisting on the complementarity of Protection and Welfare with respect to Investments”, explains the company in a note, in which it underlines “the objective, in the face of current challenges related to the issues of health, non-self-sufficiency, increased life expectancy and climate change, is to contribute to making Protection increasingly popular thanks to the consultancy of its Network and an innovative offer”.
Pension: customers doubled in 10 years
Another topic addressed during the Convention was that of Retirement, a sector in which Alleanza has almost doubled the number of customers in 10 years: from 400.000 to 700.000.
In recent years, the company has also focused on introducing new skills and people: in this direction, more than 2.200 people hired of which 50% women since 2015. Investment in training has enabled the qualification of more than 2.700 financial advisors, further strengthening the capacity of the distribution network. At the same time, digitalisation has made Alleanza the first fully digital insurance network in Europe, with over 90% of its policies fully digital. In this context, Alleanza reports the launch of Ally, an Artificial Intelligence system designed to support consultants and improve the customer experience.
Fancel: “Alleanza a success story in the insurance sector”
"Alleanza and its Network are a success story in the Italian insurance sector. It has always demonstrated great ability to adapt to the many changes in the sector and remarkable sensitivity in anticipating fundamental growth choices thanks to investments in innovation and training that have allowed us to generate value for the entire Generali group, serving the economic growth of the entire Country System. I am convinced that enthusiasm and passion, experienced first-hand today, are fundamental ingredients to guarantee a great future for our company, which will always be alongside the businesses, people and communities in which we operate", said Giancarlo Fancel, Country Manager and CEO of Generali Italia.
Davide Passero: “We invest in financial skills and digital technologies”
"Alleanza is an Italian excellence, thanks to its widespread distribution network throughout the territory and the quality and innovation of the insurance offer, capable of satisfying the evolution in customer needs, in the face of the profound economic and social changes that have occurred in recent years. We invest heavily in financial skills and digital technologies in order to enhance the professional service of our consultants and attract new talent: in ten years we have hired over 2.200 people, 50% of whom are women, confirming that doing good business means creating stable employment. Finally, we want to enhance our know-how, through the new bancassurance division, proposing ourselves as the best partner for banking institutions for the protection of families and the development of supplementary pensions in Italy", said the CEO of Alleanza Assicurazioni and Country Chief Marketing & Product Officer of Generali Italia.
