The net bonus of 500 euros in favor of teachers will perhaps already arrive with the October paycheck. This is the first contribution for self-education foreseen by the last school reform. The surprise announcement came yesterday from the Minister of Education, Stefania Giannini, who reiterated on Radio Uno that the contribution is "by now law" and that for this year "it will be given in a paycheck, perhaps as early as October" .
For this year the 500 euros will be credited directly to the salary, but from 2016 "there will be the teacher's card - the minister underlined -, with which one can make purchases for training, books and more".
One of the questions raised by the trade unions on school reform should therefore be resolved. According to Uil Scuola, the decree implementing paragraph 122 on teacher training was missing: “It had to be approved within 60 days. Meanwhile, teachers will have to update themselves at their own expense. As always,” wrote the union.
