Inps activates pagoPa to pay voluntary contributions online

Inps activates PagoPA, the new system for electronic payments in favor of Public Administrations. Starting from 20 June 2016, on the website www.inps.it, citizens will be able to pay their voluntary contributions thanks to PagoPA. This is the first of a series of INPS online services which will gradually be integrated into the electronic payment system.

PagoPA is the national digital infrastructure – a strategic project of the Italian government's digitization plan – which allows citizens and businesses to make payments electronically to the Public Administration, guaranteeing security, simplicity and flexibility in the choice of payment methods and provider.

Inps' adhesion to the PagoPA system represents an important step forward in the process of implementing the "Digital Citizen" initiative, which sees AgID and Inps united in the aim of reducing the digital divide thanks to the promotion of the use of the Internet and digital services provided by the public administration.

The collaboration between Inps and AgID started in March with the immediate adherence to Speed by the social security institution, and at the same time as the launch of the initiative which provides for the sending to 7 million workers of envelopes containing the simulation of their pension together with the invitation to obtain a single digital identity to be able to access everyone online the services of the PA.
