Inps: 65% of companies are not in compliance

The percentage of companies that are not in compliance is increasing, while the number of irregular workers is decreasing, above all due to the general decline in employment. According to the Minister of Labor Enrico Giovannini, 64,8% of the companies inspected by INPS in 2013 were found to be non-compliant, an increase compared to that of 2012, at 63%. In fact, there were 152.314 irregular businesses out of the 235.122 (-3,6% on 2012) inspected during the year.

The amount of contributions and premiums processed, "subject to recovery by the inspection staff during 2013, amounted to approximately 1,4 billion euro, with a decrease of 13% compared to 2012".

The data released by the Ministry of Labor also focus on INPS inspections on irregular workers: the survey by the National Institute of Social Security brought to light 239 (-19% compared to 2012). That never surveyed because in "black" are, however, 86 thousand (-13% on 2012). More than providing an indication of the phenomenon of undeclared work, still very relevant in our economic system, this decline bears witness to the ongoing employment crisis.
