Innovation and design, Ideals is born, the platform for sharing research

Seven major brands, together with the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano, have given birth to the new global research platform for shared innovation. From Adidas to Sorgenia, here are the objectives

Innovation and design today represent the main engine for the growth and well-being of companies.
Adidas, Adobe, Nestlè, Philips, Sintetica, Stolt and Sorgenia they asked themselves a question: "How is it possible to innovate in this hyper-digitalized world?" In fact, digital technologies, the companies observe, “have created an overabundance of opportunities that make it difficult to understand where the value lies. And, again, it makes it difficult to involve people, focusing them on shared projects. But it is precisely the involvement and active participation of individuals that represent the engine of innovation”.
The conclusion is mandatory: the goal must be to develop new leadership and vision skills within companies, capable of responding to the changes taking place.
The managers of the seven major brands listed above jointly addressed these issues and met at the headquarters of the Italian digital energy company to launch a new research platform.
From this collaboration was born IDeaLs (Innovation and Design as Leadership), a platform created by the School of Management of the Milan Polytechnic and from Center for Creative Leadership which will have a specific research focus: how to involve and motivate people within organizations in the development of innovation. The aim of the research project will be to identify new methods and applications and, during the planned series of meetings, the partners will share their experiences, for a common growth.
