InfoCamere: the first Sustainability Report arrives

Develop an increasingly sustainable business, strengthen awareness of social responsibility issues within the company, positively influence external stakeholders to collaborate in compliance with all dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental. These are the reasons and objectives behind the first sustainability report drawn up by InfoCamere - the company of the Chambers of Commerce for innovation and digital services - presented yesterday to the company's Board of Directors

For the President of InfoCamere, Charles Sangalli “This Sustainability Report marks the beginning of a new and important challenge for our company: to promote sustainable development and foster the success of an entrepreneurial culture that is attentive and consistent with the company's values. After all, some time ago the CEO of one of the largest American companies – speaking of his business policy – said: “We want to leave the world better than we found it”. It is the idea of a strong assumption of responsibility towards the territory, towards the reference community and future generations, in line with the sustainability objectives adopted by the United Nations 2030 Agenda. And this Report is in line with those values that we have learned from companies and which constitute their strength: the desire to innovate, the ability to plan and to look ahead".

InfoCamere's 2017 Sustainability Report complements the statutory financial statements and was drawn up following the guidelines of the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, approach core, the most authoritative and widespread model in the field of non-financial reporting.

The document explores four specific topics of the company's activity:

  • Governance and business ethics, with information to stakeholders on Anti-Corruption, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Compliance with laws and regulations and Business ethics and integrity.
  • Economic performance, through an overview of the economic-financial situation of the company, of the procurement practices and policies, of the commitment to research and development activities and of the indirect economic impacts caused by the company's activity.
  • Environmental Performance, broken down into information on the emissions into the atmosphere produced by the company, energy consumption and waste management policy.

Each chapter of the 2017 Sustainability Report is linked to one of the values expressing InfoCamere's corporate culture: Management of complexity, Reliability, Sense of the future, Competence and Cohesion. To these is added a further chapter dedicated to the theme of the "green" office on which the company is strongly committed to creating more sustainable workspaces.
