Industrial Union Turin: Giorgia Garola elected president Amma

Giorgia Garola was elected president of Amma, the main product group of the Turin Industrial Union, for the four-year period 2024-2028. A 46-year-old entrepreneur from Turin and CEO of Scam, Garola was chosen during the elective assembly attended by representatives of the 623 associated companies in the Aerospace, Sustainable Mobility, Mechatronics, Plant Engineering and General Contractor sectors. It happens to Stefano Serra, who led the merger between Amma and Unione Industriali Torino in 2021 and will remain at the helm of the Amma Foundation.

“In the next few years we will have to face new challenges: artificial intelligence and digital culture, new products and services, sustainability and environment, inclusion and diversity, networks and internationalization, training and human capital. This is why our industrial fabric must increasingly learn to recognize different and multiple vocations, such as those that already coexist in the Amma and even more so in the Industrial Union. But others will arise brought about by the rapid changes underway. It is essential to be aware of this to best support companies in seizing the opportunities that will arise. With foresight, courage and resourcefulness" declared the President Garola.

“We bring together our excellence and innovation to invent new products, open up to new markets. Innovation is a condition, not a possibility. Projecting Turin into the future does not mean abandoning the car, but being able to think about it differently for new targets and markets. And I am sure that artificial intelligence will be able to give us a big hand in this. Let us therefore focus on our true heritage: theindustrial intelligence. And here at Amma I see a lot of it" underlined the president of the Turin Industrial Union, Marco Gay.
