The register, established by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, aims to enhance and protect brands of excellence with an operational history of over 50 years, closely linked to the national territory.

In over 80 years of history, the company has been a key driver of Italian agricultural mechanization. Over the course of almost a century, he has led the industry towards agricultural mechanization, becoming a protagonist in internationalization and a driving force of digital transformation in the agricultural sector. Today, it is among the world leaders in the production of tractors, agricultural harvesting machines, self-driving electric tractors and diesel engines.

Same's story

Same was born in Treviglio in 1942 but its roots lie in 1927, when the brothers Francesco and Eugenio Cassani created the Cassani tractor, one of the first tractors in the world with a diesel engine. Since its birth it has become a pillar of Italian agricultural mechanization thanks to its red tractors.

Over the years, Same has grown from a small mechanical company acquisitions, giving life to Sdf group in 1995 through the integration with the German Deutz-Fahr. The Sdf group continued to expand by acquiring important industrial companies in the agricultural machinery sector in Italy and Europe.

The current structure of the Sdf group is the result of a policy of innovation and internationalization which has led, in just a few years, to the complete renewal of the product range. Significant investments have been made in agriculture 4.0 and new production plants have been opened in China, Turkey and India. Furthermore, other companies in the sector have been acquired, such as Gregoire for vineyard machinery e Vitibot for electric and self-driving machinery.

This investment plan, which amounts to hundreds of millions of euros, has allowed Sdf to progressively penetrate new markets, increase the average price of models sold and gain new market shares.
