In November, compared to the previous month, Italian industry recorded a "significant" increase in both turnover (+2,4%) and orders (+1,5%). Istat communicated it.
Corrected for calendar effects (there were 21 working days as in November 2015), total turnover grew in trend terms by 3,9%, with an increase of 4,8% on the domestic market and 2,2% on the the foreign one. In comparison with the month of November 2015, the raw index of orders remains substantially stable (+0,1%).
The increase in turnover, on a monthly basis, is higher on the domestic market (+3,1%) than on the foreign market (+0,9%). Orders, on the other hand, recorded higher increases on the foreign market (+2,4%) than on the domestic market (+1,0%).
On average over the last three months, the overall turnover index increased by 0,2% compared to the previous three months (-0,1% for domestic turnover and +0,7% for foreign turnover); that of orders decreased by 2,3%.
