Keep slowing down the Italian industry. The last negative signal comes from producer prices, which, according to the Istat data disclosed, in January they grew by 0,7% compared to December and by 3,3% on an annual basis. The prices of products sold on the domestic market grew by 0,7% on the previous month and by 3,4% on a trend basis.

Net of the energy sector, instead there were increases of 0,3% in economic terms and of 1,9% over the year. The prices of goods sold on the foreign market mark increases of 0,3% over the month (with growth of 0,3% for the euro area and 0,4% for the non-euro area), while compared to the same period of 2010 there is an increase of 2,7 .2,4% (+3,0% for the euro area and +XNUMX% for the non-euro area).

The greatest contribution to the trend growth in the prices of goods sold on the domestic market comes from energy component (2 percentage points). On the foreign market, the most significant contributions derive fromthe energy, for the euro area (0,9 percentage points), dai intermediate goods for the non-euro area (0,8 points).

The sector of economic activity for which the trend of price growth is most marked is that of the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, with an increase of 17,0% on the domestic market and 22,4% on the foreign market.
