Industry, Csc estimates +1% production

The Confindustria study center notes an increase in industrial production of 1,0% in September over August, after estimating a variation of -0,2% over July. In the third quarter of 2017 there was a cyclical increase of 1,3%, after the +1,2% of the second on the first. The last quarter of this year starts with an acquisition of +0,6%.

“The qualitative indicators relating to manufacturing – reads the note, among other things – signal a marked improvement in the economic climate in the summer months and herald a positive dynamics of activity also in the autumn”. So comes another encouraging signal from the Italian industry, after that yesterday Istat found that in July the turnover grew by 3,8% on an annual basis, while orders soared by as much as 10,1% compared to the same month last year.

Today Istat also announced that in September, according to preliminary estimates, gross tobacco inflation decreased by 0,3% on a monthly basis and increased by 1,1% compared to September 2016 (it was + 1,2% in August). The slight slowdown in inflation – explains Istat – is mainly attributable to the drop in the prices of transport-related services (+2,7%, from +4,4% in August) and those of regulated energy goods (+2,9% from +5,0%), partly offset by the rise in prices of unprocessed food goods, the growth of which reaches +2,2% (from +0,7% in the previous month). The inflation acquired for 2017 is equal to +1,3% for the general index and +0,8% for the core component.
