India looks to Turin to develop the steel sector. L'Turin Industrial Union welcomed a delegation of the Federal Republic of India, led by ambassador Neena Malhotra and made up of entrepreneurs and representatives of the Indian Ministry of Energy, visiting the headquarters in via Fanti to explore some issues relating to the sector iron and steel secondary, in particular concerning the areas of re-rolling and foundries.

At the center of the meeting, explains a note, was the exchange of knowledge with the Turin industrial system and the identification of possible joint business opportunities, through the development of direct relationships with those companies in the area that have the characteristics to present themselves as suppliers of systems, know-how and new technologies.

The morning, concluded by a series of B2B meetings, was also characterized by a workshop carried out in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, to which AFV Acciaierie Beltrame spa intervened with a testimony, representing the Turin steel industry.

The appointment was born as part of the "Energy Efficiency Industry & Data" project which supports the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and the Indian Ministry of Energy (MoP) in strengthening the capabilities of companies in the steel sector that are not participating in the emission trading (Perform Achieve and Trade- PAT) to implement energy efficient technologies and support the improvement of industrial processes.
