The first quarter of 2014 is archived Indesit Company, which closed with a turnover down by 6,6% at current exchange rates, at 560 million euro, while the net result was a loss of 6,2 million, against the profit of 4,1 million recorded in same period of 2013. Ebitda amounted to 39 million euros, substantially in line with the 40 million recorded in the first quarter of last year.
Despite the negative net result, according to the company's managing director, Marco Milani, "encouraging signs come from indications of market demand especially in Western European countries such as Italy, which confirm the expectations of a slight improvement in 2014 compared to the previous year".
In the middle of the morning, Indesit shares lost 0,29% in Piazza Affari.
