Inclusion and diversity: Tim, Enel and Intesa Sanpaolo in the global top 100

Tim, Hera, Intesa Sanpaolo, Enel, Inwit, Ferragamo, FCA and Cnh Industrial are champions of inclusion and promotion of diversity in the workplace. The Italian groups mentioned have in fact both been included in the Refinitiv's Diversity & Inclusion Index, the index that measures the performance of over 9.000 companies – equal to 70% of the global market – based on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) data. Refinitiv therefore evaluates the work of the global corporate world every year in terms of diversity and inclusion, using public sources such as sustainability reports, financial reports, corporate websites, press reports. The result is a list of only 100 virtuous companies, among which Tim and Intesa Sanpaolo have been included.

Particularly striking was the performance of Telecom Italy, which even ends up in the top 10 (eighth): it is confirmed as the first Italian company and the first telco in the world among the international companies that have distinguished themselves in the aforementioned parameters. Intesa Sanpaolo it is instead the only Italian bank and closes in 76th place overall. “Inclusion in the index – commented Carlo Messina, Intesa Sanpaolo Managing Director and CEO – rewards Intesa Sanpaolo's commitment to equity issues, a commitment which is expressed in concrete measures such as the inclusion of a KPI ( management objective) specific to reward those who have a management attentive to gender equity, cutting-edge welfare tools, projects for disability. An inclusive work environment at all levels allows people to best express their skills and makes the group increasingly solid and competitive at an international level". Gender equality also distinguishes Intesa Sanpaolo.

Hera is the best multiutility (both Italian and worldwide) and is 12th, ahead of Enel which finishes 17th, leading the “Electric Utilities & IPPs” group. “Diversity – commented Francesco Starace, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Enel – is a factor for corporate growth, thanks to the innovative ideas and approaches it inevitably generates. Diversity, also due to our presence in 30 countries, is one of our most precious and esteemed assets. Our presence within the Top 25 of the Refinitiv Diversity and Inclusion Index with first place within the electric utilities industry group in 2020 demonstrates that the principles of equal opportunity and dignity, embedded in our daily operations around the world , are the key to the success of Enel's sustainable business model. Our wealth of diversity continues to attract increasing attention from investors looking to integrate diversity and inclusion into their investment decisions.”
