In India, companies are calling back women who have left their jobs

The initiative of Indian Google it's called gCareer and is aimed at women who have left a career for a year or more, for personal reasons. Reasons that are not difficult to guess, and which usually consist of motherhood which is prolonged and which ends up sacrificing work for the family. Still, career women who retire represent a 'pool' of skills to be exploited, and Google's initiative makes sense not only from the point of view of gender promotion but also from a business point of view.

Other Indian companies have done the same. For example, Axis Bank has launched a program called 'Reconnect', which is aimed at women who have left the bank in the last ten years: launched for now only in some states, Axis is now aiming to make it a national programme. By calling back those who have already worked, there is no need for training and education.

Also the General Electric India , JP Morgan they're doing the same: field research shows that 'returning women' have a high degree of dedication to the enterprise.
