Imu-Bankitalia, the decree slips again

Imu-Bankitalia, the decree slips again

New referral for IMU e Bankitalia. The Council of Ministers which was supposed to approve tomorrow the decree law for the cancellation of the second installment of the tax on first homes and the revaluation of the shares of Via Nazionale postponed until after Wednesday. According to Government sources cited by the Radiocor agency, the Executive will give priority to two other crucial appointments: the Senate's vote of confidence on the Stability law, which should be held tomorrow, and the vote on the loss of Silvio Berlusconi's parliamentary office, scheduled for Wednesday at Palazzo Madama.

The choice to pose trust in the former finance company it seemed obvious for days now, but this morning the official confirmation arrived: “We will ask the question of trust on the Stability law – announced Dario Franceschini, Minister for Relations with Parliament and for the Coordination of Government Activities -. We will fully respect Parliament's work, putting it on the text that the Budget Commission is finalizing. However, trust is necessary not only to guarantee approval times, but also to verify politically, clearly and unambiguously, in the proper place and on the most important deed, the relationship of trust between the Government and the parliamentary majority". It will therefore be the first test for the center-right after the separation between the Berlusconi of Forza Italia and the Alfanians of the New Center-right.

The Stability Law should arrive today in the Senate Chamber, but the works of the Budget Commission of Palazzo Madama could be extended further, causing the deadlines to be postponed. The conference of group leaders in the early afternoon is entrusted with the drafting of a new calendar of work. The question is not a trivial one, because the Government would have liked to get the green light for the package of measures before vote on the forfeiture of the Knight, which will almost certainly mark the transition of the force to the opposition.

The Council of Ministers on issues relating to the IMU and Bank of Italy was already been postponed last week. On Thursday, Prime Minister Enrico Letta had guaranteed that the commitment to cancel the second installment of the single municipal tax on first homes "will be respected". The Government had justified the first postponement by speaking of technical reasons: "Minister Saccomanni is waiting for an opinion from the ECB on the revaluation of the shares of the Bank of Italy" and "the measures must be launched at the same time", explained Nunzia De Girolamo, head of the Policies agricultural.
