Businesses and women, stop in Rome for the Intesa-Bellisario award

The meeting of 28 of the 110 selected companies is underway. The two winners will be awarded on 15 June as part of the Marisa Bellisario "Women at high altitude" award. The "Women Value Company Intesa Sanpaolo" award is in its second edition and aims to enhance the skills and merit of women in SMEs

Businesses and women, stop in Rome for the Intesa-Bellisario award

New stage, in Rome, of the Intesa Sanpaolo award with the collaboration of the Bellisario Foundation, which aims to enhance the skills and merit of women and reward the companies that support it. There are 110 finalist companies in the second edition, chosen throughout Italy from among the 460 that have nominated themselves. All will receive recognition during three meetings in Milan, Rome and Vicenza, during which the most virtuous experiences will be shared. At the end of the process, the two winning companies, one small and one medium, will be proclaimed on 15 June, during the XXX edition of the Marisa Bellisario Award "Women at high altitude".

In the meantime, however, all the selected companies will be involved in three "approach" events to the Prize. After an initial meeting in Milan and another later in June in Vicenza, a meeting is taking place today, Monday 14 May, in Rome in which 28 companies are participating, coming not only from Lazio but also from Tuscany, Umbria, Campania, Puglia, Calabria , Sicily, and also Lombardy. They were welcomed by Marcello Di Martino, Commercial Director of Intesa Sanpaolo Lazio, Sardinia and Sicily, and by the Hon. Lella Golfo, President of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, together with Monica Mercanti, Intesa Sanpaolo Commercial Planning Office Manager. A round table followed, moderated by Di Martino, during which three entrepreneurs – Maria Gabriella Colucci, CEO of Arterra Bioscience, from Naples; Stefania Caparrini, Sole Director of Le Antiche Mura, of Empoli (Florence); Mariana Confessore, PA Advice Human Resources manager, from Naples – shared the solutions and good practices promoted in the company to give
greater space and value for women's work.

The "Women Value Company 2018 - Intesa Sanpaolo" award is aimed at small and medium-sized public and private enterprises (according to the criteria of the European Commission Recommendation 2003 361/EC), with mainly Italian capital and not belonging to groups, which have recorded good economic-financial performance and who have distinguished themselves in the application of policies for the enhancement of female work and the management of gender diversity: family/work conciliation services; initiatives aimed at guaranteeing employees, both men and women, serene management of their time in the company (benefits, vouchers, internal crèches and more); flexible work organization policies; non-discriminatory merit pay policies; plans for the development and enhancement of female skills and careers, with a large presence of women in managerial or top positions.
