Businesses: the one-stop shop takes off with 500 online practices

Over half a million online practices get it off the ground One stop shop for telematic production activities (Suap) result of the collaboration between Chambers of commerce and Municipalities. In just over two years, the obligations carried out by entrepreneurs for starting up and running a business without queuing with the platform have increased fivefold www.impresainungiorno.gov.it, the single point of contact for companies created by the Italian Chamber of Commerce system to support the Municipalities in the management of this service. In 2015 alone, over 216 procedures were managed digitally, 35% of which it has allowed more than 72 companies to be born in just 24 hours.

"Simplification travels on the digital path, as demonstrated by the success of this telematic platform created by the Chambers of Commerce which is continuing to gather around it a growing number of members among the Municipalities to make it easier to do business in Italy". It is the comment of President of Unioncamere, Ivan Lo Bello, according to which "the chamber system has always been a place of innovation, a pioneer of digitization in the PA which can and must offer a strong and decisive contribution to realizing the Digital Agenda, the main development driver and real priority for the modernization of the country system".

To date, of the approximately 8 municipalities in Italy, over 3.300 (41,7% of the total, distributed across 16 regions and 74 provinces) have decided to make use of the chambers of commerce using the services of the chamber platform to simplify life for companies in the own territory. This year, it was above all the Veneto companies that took advantage of it, with Venice (8,4% of the total digital fulfillments carried out in Italy), Vicenza (7,4%) and Verona (6,9%) at the top of the ranking provincial. Second for the number of procedures carried out electronically are the Lombard companies (23,6%) followed at a distance by those from Puglia (5,7%).

As at 22 December 2015, there were 4.640 Municipalities accredited by the Ministry of Economic Development and operationally autonomous with Suap; the Municipalities which, by delegation or agreement, operate with the local Chamber of Commerce are 3.378 (41,7% of the total), while the Municipalities which do not yet have an accredited Suap amount to 67.
