Five years after the last tender, companies with a century of activity can register again Historic Companies Register.
As stated by the president of the center for business culture, Danilo Broggi, “Unioncamere offers a service that can also be recognized from a cultural point of view, once again giving companies the opportunity to certify their centenary path at a national level. To guarantee the realization of the project and the definition of the selection criteria, the scientific coordination of the Center for Corporate Culture”.
In the year of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, Unioncamere, with the scientific coordination of the Center for business culture, has thus decided to enhance the Italian economic fabric, highlighting the companies that have supported and represented over the years a national identity.
Through three editions (2011, 2012 and 2014), Unioncamere collected the data of the companies with at least 48 years of activity. The register of long-lived companies now includes around 0 companies over one hundred years old.
"As far as we know, there is no other country in the world that has such a high number of centenary companies still in business, demonstrating how Italian entrepreneurship has ancient and deep-rooted socio-cultural roots" adds Broggi thus commenting on the reopening of the Unioncamere tender and the collaboration with the Business Culture Center
