Biomethane plant with oceanic posidonia: the avant-garde project in Europe is in Cilento

Small biodigesters to produce biomethane they grow up. Faster than the slack government is doing. The latest project to be implemented as a good example of circular economy comes from Pollica in Campania. Mayor Stephen Pisanie the CEO of Miras Energia Silvio Petrone, presented the construction of a biomethane plant that uses marine posidonia. In water this plant has a fundamental function to oxygenate the sea. When it is beached it constitutes a problem for the ecosystem. Pollica's project leaves the field of technicians' imaginations to become reality. Clean energy generated not only from seaweed but also from organic waste from separate collection. And the first project with these characteristics in Europe and has already received significant recognition. The construction of the plant will start after the summer. Before that of 2024 will be ready. Pollica, for its beaches of Acciaroli and Pioppi - traditional blue flags - is considered among the pearls of Cilento. Sustainability and protection of the territory are in first place in the town of the former "fisherman mayor", Angelo Vassallo killed in 2010. The notoriety of the place is also linked to the enhancement of the Mediterranean diet and other initiatives of a scientific and informative.

Green energy for 500 families.

The new plant is sized for 7 thousand tons of waste per year and when fully operational it will give energy to 500 families. The city purifier will also be connected to the system with a cleaning process of the posidonia and the recovery of the sand. The sand will later be brought back to the shoreline. A system of integrated microeconomics which especially in the summer months, when Pollica is crowded with tourists, will prove to be particularly effective. Algae are very present in the Mediterranean and their removal for the benefit of the earth's environment and bathers is now a high cost for the Municipalities and bathing establishment managers. There Heritage Energia, a company well positioned in the circular economy sector, is promoting the "Poseidon Energy Green" in this regard. Recover natural resources to transform them into social utility is one of the pillars of the energy transition. Everything that can be recovered and treated is added value for those who manage it. Government and Regions should speed up business in the countryside and facilitate building permits. Biomethane satisfies many cerdi requirements and in this case rewards the South. The Miras Company has a partnership with the Canadian Anaergia. With them, explains the management, "we have developed the innovative project that overcomes the current problems of treatment of this special waste, which have made its disposal in seaside villages complicated up to now, transforming it into wealth for the community". In 2022 Miras received the Special “Circular Energy” from Unindustria Rome and at "Slow Fish 2023" in Genoa he successfully presented what he is about to build in Pollica.
