Impact Hub Milano: capital increase and new skills for start-ups

New skills and financial resources – thanks to a capital increase – for Impact Hub Milano (IHM), the coworking space and certified incubator that gave life to the project of the first social innovation village in Italy dedicated to creating a community and to support young companies operating in this sector.

One of the concrete effects of the contribution of new skills is the development of the project to set up a new impact investing fund of around 40-50 million which will make it possible to acquire stakes in startups not currently in the portfolio that have an interesting business and management team , always in the field of social innovation.

The shareholder structure had already been enriched before the capital increase with the entry of key people in the management of Impact Hub Milano such as Montserrat Fernandez Blanco (Content Manager), Claudia Fasolo (Incubation Manager) and Michaela Cozza (Events Manager).
With the capital increase, entrepreneurs with specific experience and interest in investments in the field of social innovation enter the shareholding structure of the incubator and coworking space.

The new investors are in particular Chiara Bisconti, Enrico Cattaneo, Carlo Mazzola, Paola Perini, Paolo Gonano, Embed Capital and Rancilio Cube. The new BoD will be made up of Marco Nannini, Luca Rancilio, Chiara Bisconti, Paolo Gonano and Sofia Maroudia.

The capital will make it possible to support new training activities, coworking, the creation of events and the creation of a community of innovators focused on social innovation issues. They will also give further life to the incubation projects of Impact Hub Milano, which already has over 15 startups in its portfolio (directly or through the parent company) and already has one exit to its credit. In particular, it is expected that 10 new startups a year will be able to enter the incubator, a process that began in recent weeks with Mivoq, a company that won the #NatiPer contest promoted by AXA Italia.
