Immobiliare, Cattolica wins prize for Conad operation

In the presence of institutional investors, asset managers and service providers from all over the world, Cattolica Assicurazioni was awarded the prestigious Silver Regional Award for the "Other countries and regions" category within the IPE Real Estate Global Conference 2019 organized in Amsterdam. The only Italian company to be counted among the winners, Cattolica has obtained recognition as a “valid regional player with growth ambitions. The Mercury Conad Fund represents a good example of long-term cash flow, good diversification and results”. The recognition, now in its fifteenth edition, rewards excellence and innovation in real estate investments by institutional operators.

Massimo di Tria, Chief Investment Officer of the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group, said: “We are very proud that a qualified jury such as that of the IPE Real Estate Global Conference 2019 has awarded us this prestigious recognition, testifying to Cattolica's managerial ability and strategic vision in real estate. The Mercury Fund, participated by an important partner such as Conad, represents a happy union between the cooperative world of insurance and that of large-scale distribution and proposes itself as an innovative investment model for the real estate sector. Through this vehicle we will increase the geographical and sectoral diversification of our real estate assets, in line with the key principles of the Group's 2018-2020 Business Plan".

Salvatore Ciccarello, General Manager of Cattolica Immobiliare, who collected the award, instead added: “Cattolica Immobiliare has made its expertise and the strength of its team available to Cattolica Assicurazioni to invest with a specialization criterion that has given and is giving remarkable results. We strongly believe in this specialization which will hopefully allow us to carry out operations also in other sectors in order to make the most of the accumulated experience and maximize returns in an increasingly selective market”.
