Car registrations: +1,4% in December, -7,09 on all of 2013

The data released by the Ministry of Transport signal the slight recovery of the car market in December: registrations up by 1,4% on an annual basis against the drop of 4,17% in November - Over the whole of 2013, purchases fell by 7,09% – Male Fiat: -2,6% in December, -9,9% in 2013.

The car market is showing timid signs of recovery. According to the Ministry of Transport, in December new car registrations in Italy were 88.705 with an increase of 1,4% on an annual basis. A growth that follows the decline of 4,17% recorded in November.

The total for the whole of 2013 ends with 1.303.534 new registrations, down by 7,09% on an annual basis. The numbers of the Fiat group are heavy, down by 2,6% in December, to 24.810 and by 9,9% for the whole of 2013, with 373.773 new registrations.
