Illy: turnover +12% over the year, Pogliani new CEO

Illy's domestic market grew by 8%, but 63% of the group's total sales occur outside national borders, thanks to the 8% increase in the EMEA area and the 23% increase in the North American market where they were finalized new strategic partnerships. Great news also on the front of the governance: for the first time an external managing director joins the group, Massimo Pogliani, with a past in Saeco and Nespresso. Andrea Illy was reconfirmed as president, while the position of vice president was taken on by Marina Salamon.

Francesco Illy joins the board in charge of Brand Equity, while Anna Belci Illy is reappointed for Corporate Reputation and Strategic Purchasing. Riccardo Illy will represent the sole shareholder, Gruppo Illy SpA, on the board. Among the independent directors, in addition to Marina Salamon, the presence of Pierluigi Celli was confirmed. The new entries concern Alberto Baldan, managing director of La Rinascente; Roberto Eggs, Chief Operating Officer of Moncler; Douglas T. Hickey, General Commissioner of the USA Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015.
