Big growth for Iliad in Italy in 2022.

The French telecommunications group closed the year with a revenues of 8,4 billion euros (a growth of +10,3%) and an Ebitda growing by 12% to 3,3 billion euros. Iliad Italy had a turnover of 927 million euros, +15,5% (compared to 2021) and a EBITDAaL of 211 million euros, a significant increase compared to the 80 million euros recorded in 2021. TheNet income was 758 million euros, an increase of 44,1%. The cash flow remains negative at -170 million euro and the loss on ordinary activities narrows to 169 million, an improvement compared to the 248 million of last year.

In Italy the sales they grew by 15,5%, more than in France with Free (6,9%) and in Poland with Play (3,7%). I am 9,5 million mobile users, gained more than 1 million customers in one year. For the fifth consecutive year, it is confirmed as the market leader for new users. The global users of the Group are 46 million (in 2021 they were 43 million). Good success for100% FTTH fiber optic offer launched in January 2022 with 109 activations in just 11 months, representing approximately 3,4% of the FTTH segment.

The 2023 goals and sustainability initiatives

In the area of ​​environmental sustainability, in October 2022, Iliad announced the Energy Optimization Plan which contains actions aimed mainly at making consumption more efficient. The telecommunications company has implemented the nightly switch-off of some frequencies: in moments of low traffic traffic, some frequencies are put on standby, so as to consume less without affecting quality, this allows for reductions between 5% and 10% of energy consumption.
