The peasant village of Coldiretti arrives in Milan

The event will be held from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 July in Milan, from Piazza del Cannone to Piazza Castello – PROGRAM AND VIDEO.

The great beauty of the thousand Italian countryside conquers the historic center of the financial metropolis of the country with the Coldiretti Village on over 200 thousand square meters to live a day as a farmer among the farms and their products, on tractors, at the table with the agrichefs, riding donkeys and horses, in the stable with cows, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits and hens, in the shepherds' hut or in the educational farms and in the kindergartens where children can learn to knead bread or garden. The appointment is in Milan, from Piazza del Cannone to Piazza Castello where they will come tens of thousands of farmers from the different regions, together with the president of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini, to start from 9,00 on Friday 5 July, to make known the work, productions and recipes of the Made in Italy tradition.  
 
On the opening day of Friday 5 July with the President of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini have already confirmed the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Luigi Di Maio, the Minister of Education Marco Bussetti, the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana, the Secretary of the Democratic Party Nicola Zingaretti, Luigi Scordamaglia, councilor delegate of Filiera Italia and the President of ICE Carlo Ferro. Saturday 6 July starting at 9 during the day have already confirmed the presence the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini, the Minister of Agricultural, Forestry and Tourism Policies Gian Marco Centinaio, the Undersecretary for Relations with Parliament Guido Guidesi, the President of Fratelli d'Italia Giorgia Meloni, the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala , the Councilor for Agriculture of Lombardy Fabio Rolfi, and in the evening a show by Teo Teocoli on the "culture of smiles". In closing day on Sunday 7 July dedicated by solidarity and legality present among others Mariastella Gelmini, president of the deputies of Forza Italia Gherardo Colombo former magistrate and Uecoop President, Gian Carlo Caselli President of the Agromafie Observatory scientific committee, Andrea Fanzago head of the poverty area of ​​the Ambrosian Caritas, and the coach of the National team women's soccer Milena Bertolini who will be awarded in the context of the appointment on Sport and food united by legality.

During the three days of the event, institutional exponents, representatives of civil society, scholars, sportsmen and artists will take turns discussing exclusive studies and research elaborated for the occasion by Coldiretti on the themes of food, tourism, the environment, school and Cheers, but there will be entertainment shows and concerts.

There will be a real Noah's Ark where you can discover the plants and animals saved from extinction thanks to the work of generations recognized and supported by the "Seals" of Campagna Amica which will present the largest work of enhancement of peasant biodiversity ever carried out in Italy. From the precious Barà cow of which there are only 4 specimens left throughout Italy, famous for its ability to adapt to the harsh life in the mountains, to the Orobica goat, a rustic breed, capable of enhancing coarser foods and adapting to living in environments very difficult, there will be specimens that have survived throughout the Peninsula such as the Bergamasca sheep which is the largest in the world, the Varzese cow which arrived in Italy with the barbarians and which is now reduced to a few dozen specimens, the Romagnolo donkey, that of Martina Franca, that of Amiata and that of Asinara, the Black pig of Parma and the Mora Romagnola, the Noricum horse whose origins date back even to the Roman legionaries and the friendly South Tyrolean Haflinger with a thick and silky light colored mane, together with many other breeds of geese, ducks, rabbits and hens that enliven the Italian countryside.

But for the first time it will be possible to go to the school of Italian extra virgin olive oil in the Village's Oil&wine bar, where you can taste extra virgin olive oil cocktails, wines and agricultural beer, or follow agrocosmetic lessons with grandma's beauty tricks.

Space at largest market at zero kilometres with Campagna Amica where you can buy exclusive tasteful souvenirs directly from farmers from all over Italy for yourself or to give to others. There are areas dedicated to solidarity to help the weakest categories, with products from earthquake-stricken companies in Lazio, Umbria, Marche and Abruzzo and those produced by social farming companies engaged in the socio-employment reintegration of disadvantaged, disabled or problematic individuals, but also in the environmental education and services to local communities.

An entire sector is dedicated to pet therapy and the role of animals in treating discomfort. But the first therapeutic-sensory garden will also be created in the Village, as well as vegetable gardens with tutors and the Village of ideas with young agricultural entrepreneurs who make innovation in the country.
