A day of sharing, an invitation to get to know the life of winemakers closely, between the countryside and the cellar, the area in which they live and the whole world around them. The day of the "Saturday of the Winemaker" conceived and organized by Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers to tell the public and enthusiasts about the territorial realities of 1400 FIVI members will take place May 14 divided into 18 appointments from north to south in various locations on the peninsula.

In particular, in the North, the Day of the Winemaker will concern Piedmont, Franciacorta, Trentino, Treviso, the Berici and Euganei hills, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Alessandria, Oltrepò Pavese, Modena - Reggio Emilia, Romagna, Piacenza. In the center of Chianti Classico – San Gimignano, Marche, Lazio, and in Southern Campania, Calabria, Eastern Sicily and Puglia.

All events will be structured according to the free interpretation of the FIVI delegations, with the aim of creating an atmosphere of celebration and conviviality. The public will be welcomed directly in many wineries FIVI members. They will be proposed tasting tables, guided tastings and food pairings, in the most suitable way to make known the history, the territories and the wines of the Independent Winegrowers.

"We have thought of this Saturday as a day of sharing, an invitation to come and get to know each other where we work every day, between the countryside and the cellar, to meet the local public of the territories in which we live - underlines Diletta Nember, vice president of FIVI - For those who do not still knows us, it will be an opportunity to better understand our work and the values ​​we believe in; for those who have already had the opportunity to enter the FIVI world, a chance to meet again and further explore this reality. Ours is an association that has like founding values ​​the protection and enhancement of the territory, through artisanal and quality viticulture".

The invitation is therefore to find out which are the events of the Vignaiolo's Saturday closest to home and to personally get to know the FIVI companies, the producers and their wines: an authentic viticulture, ranging from cultivation from the vineyard to bottling. and to the sale of wine, which in the glass expresses all the love for the land.

Founded in 2008, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers now has 1400 members for a total of approximately 13.000 hectares of vineyards and has the aim of protecting the profession of the Winegrower, representing it before the institutions and promoting its specificity. FIVI dialogues with the Ministry of Agriculture and with the Regions by participating in sector tables, as well as with the EU institutions in Brussels through the CEVI – Confédération Européenne des Vignerons Indépendants, which brings together the associations of all the main European wine producing countries. It participates in rural development policies on a local, national and European scale.
