The rise in oil does not save the Stock Exchange: Saipem sinks

In the early afternoon, the Ftse Mib turned negative again, with losses of around 1% despite the sharp rise in oil which had supported the prices in the morning - Male Fca on the long wave of the collapse of Daimler in Frankfurt - Still in difficulty the banking sector – Saipem fees drop (-60%).

Piazza Affari turns negative, after the Ftse Mib had managed to gain more than 1% in the morning. The gains then zeroed in the early afternoon, losing more than 1% (around 15 pm the index lost 0,9% to 17.256,08 points). Credit becomes heavier with MPS leaving 3,21% on the ground and Banco Popolare losing 2,82%. Bper is also bad with a drop of around 4%, but the ordeal of Saipem rights also continues: on the eve of the last day of trading on the Stock Exchange they ended up in a volatility auction and now they lose 60%.

Saipem stock itself also suffers, while the rise in oil favors other energy sources: Tenaris commands the Ftse Mib with an increase of +3,36% to 9,235 euros, Eni +1,2%. Sales then on Generali (-3,38%) pending next week's board of directors to arrive at a choice for Greco's successor who will land at Zurich. Drunkand Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (-4,18% to 5,73 euros) in a tough day for the auto sector in Europe, with the Eurostoxx leaving 1,85% on the ground, weighed down in particular by the drop in Daimler in Frankfurt. 

Rising oil (Brent at 34,56 dollars a barrel, Wti at 32,05) had pushed the stocks of Asia and the Pacific apart from Tokyo (-0,85%) in the morning, held back by the leap of the yen against the dollar. In the morning also the European macroeconomic data which recorded a downward revision for the GDP of the euro area.
