For the presidency of Fonsai appears the name of Francesco Carbonetti, lawyer and professor of Viterbo. The change in presidency, now of Cosimo Ruccellai, aims to confirm the company's intention to move in discontinuity with the past. Carbonetti is seen as a guarantee figure and is part of the committee of wise men working on the review of governance with Angelo Casò.
The co-optation of Carbonetti to the board and his subsequent appointment should take place on Thursday's board of directors, called among other things to deliberate on the offer of Sator and Palladio and to take stock of the 1,1 billion euro capital increase in the scope of the Unipol plan. Before Ruccellai, the name of the former president of ANIA and former CEO of Generali, as well as the current president of Atlantia, had been mentioned. The candidacy was wrecked by the unavailability of Cerchiai, chairman of two subsidiaries of the Unipol group (Arca Vita and Arca Assicurazioni), to leave his posts in the Bologna group without the guarantee of a long-term presidency in Fonsai.
