Eurogroup President Jean-Claude Juncker, interviewed by the French radio France Info, declares in no uncertain terms: "The conditions in the Eurozone for issuing Eurobonds are not yet there."
Juncker nonetheless specified that the hypothesis remains a valid goal for the future. ”Eurobonds are not on the table now and it could take years”, he explained, “since a proper fiscal union is needed to create them”.
